DESCRIPTION: EPW - Meynadier a Genève, fusee quarter-hour repeater, 53mm, 18K rose gold (tested) OF original case with slide on band at 1:30 to allow/prevent repeat activation via plunge of the pendant, signed gilt spring-loaded cuvette, white enamel dial, KWKS (a key is included as pictured), verge escapement, gilt mvt with pierced and foliate scrolled two-footed balance bridge, s#57782 with matching serial number within case. Comes with a fitted box of later vintage as pictured. Gross weight of assembled watch 69.5 dwt (108.1 g).
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, good repeat function and tone when hands are set between 1:00 and 12:14 but with frequent shortages of one or more quarter-hours when hands are set between 12:15 and 12:59, overhaul needed for full repeat function, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, excellent gilt tone, plates with scattered fine to micro-fine scratches, some ultra-fine scratch striations presumably from a past light wiping, scattered oxide to areas of steelwork; dial with some mild scratches and fine scratches to central portions, edge chip at 9, perimeter scratch near 3; excellent hands; case cuvette and associated ring within case band are held by friction and with tendency to pull completely out of case at times, case shows little wear, numerous dings to band, some dings to rear perimeter, excellent overall engine turning detail apart from some reduction at rear shoulder; tight bow; good domed glass crystal. Later box shows medium wear.
